wedding and weekend...

okay as you can see i am still alive, just very very busy!!! Here are some pics from the wedding on the weekend. it was lovely. I thought it was very impersonal though. im looking forward to ours this weekend - how wierd does that sound! this weekend!!! last day of work tomorrow so it will be my last day to post, i have been so flat out its pushing it getting on now, but had to put something on before we go away!! the bottom one was at our house friday night. had friends for tea and we ended up having a huge one, then saturday night we ended up getting a taxi home from echuca ($75 later) at 5am... So HUGE WEEKEND!!! very seedy yesterday and bloated and gross. but back on track and feeling better after a good sleep last night, mums birthday sunday too so busy busy busy. this week is flying and its only going to go quicker, when works finished tomorrow arvo i think ill start to get really excited. its such a special week so want to soak up every minute!! i hope your all well and i look forward to saying goodbye tomorrow and then posting wedding photos next week. take care xx

HENS DAY!!

howdy, here are some snaps from the weekend. what a weekend. I had the best day. so much fun! the races were awesome, then we went for tea and more drinks and got home around 12. i woke up okay considering yesterday but so tired, still tired today didnt get much sleep last night. chappy had a ball at his as well, we both just had the best days which was great. the boys dressed him up in a lycra netball dress that he wore all day and he carried stacey, his blow up policeofficer doll around all day too! he was so messy when he got home but he was fine all day until the got the bottle of sambuca onto him on the bus on the way home. he zonked. can't wait to get the photos back from his too. i gave the groomsmen a disposable camera so we can make up an album from hens and bucks - through to honeymoon. and guess what! after all that drinking and then pizza and pasta for tea last night...............

I lost 1.4 kilos! another good loss. i was sitting at 72.8 this morning so im pretty much there with my goal for 72 by wedding. the next two weeks will probably see me under that the way im going. its starting to get so so exciting, now its just the wedding. booked in all my facials/hot rock massage/tan, nails and stuff like that today. that will be a lovely couple of days off before! So 8 more days including today - left of work! Chappy is home recovering today! i was so jealous when i had to go to work! but so much to get done so it wasn't really an option!!

I had to book in for my next cervical cancer shot this arvo, so needle time at 4.30, after fainting last time chappy is going to take me so i don't have to drive home! im so brave!! then walk then dress fitting!! if i get home from that in time ill go over and watch chappy play basketball - bet he feels like that tonight! otherwise ill have a quiet one in and clean up some more of the house! there are ants all over the laundry from chappys alcohol soaked dress!

anyway guys, just thought id post the pics, hope you like. i had a ball. and i had a great reward this morning when i weighed in. snuck a peak friday as well and i was in the 71s!

i think the excitement bug has hit! and hey - its friday!!!

Hi there!! Guess what - Im excited!! Bring on the weekend, bring on the drinks and the hens night games and taunts and whatever else they have me up to! I can't wait. the idea of having all my closest girlfriends together at once all for one day and night - just for me, is an incredible idea! I can't wait!! Few more hours after lunch - and they will fly - have so much on at work its crazy. trying to get stuff done and clients keep ringing left right and centre with other things they need - urgent is a funny word... seriously. and then my boss who's on holidays still has emails with files coming through, but have been delegating a bit today - something im getting good at, so i can get through my own work load. ive actually found some use out of the junior who comes in on fridays!!

Anyway enough about work! its almost party time!!

Last night was good. I sooooooooooooooo didnt feel like going for a walk after work, i felt blah and thought, i just can't be stuffed, but i wasn't feeling sick so I wasnt about to start finding excuses and I know from experience that the best way to feel un blah - is to go do something, so i went for a walk for little under an hour, felt shit for the first half then came good and as always glad i did it. then i called around to mums for an hour or so chatted about some wedding stuff and the recovery day at her house and got me a bit more excited. went and snuck another peak at my dress again, have only done it once and its been hanging in their spare room (in a bag obviously) for nearly 3 months!! anyway it got me more excited and then i went home and chappy goes - now what can i do to help with wedding stuff. so we sat on the couch together, watched some telly and tied some things together, bubbles and ribbons and stuff like that for the ceremony and reception!! it was lovely that he wanted to help out! he's also in charge of the cars so its good he's getting involved as it gets closer, which is good considering the organiser of a wife he's about to marry!!

I got a card in the mail yesterday from my friends mother who is terminally ill with cancer, i have written about her on here before. her son is also one of chappys groomsmen. anyway she sent a lovely card with the best present ive every received - it was a page long poem about us, about our wedding and about how special it all is and how special we both are. it was so so kind. when i take it off the pride of place on the mantle piece I will post a copy of it on here, mum also wants the mc to read it out at the wedding which will be very special. some people are amazing, they are going through so much themselves and still they can be so thoughtful and so such special things for others. i was really really touched.

Fake tan, waxing tonight then bridesmaids final fitting! its all coming together and im wrapped. its been a great experience and with two weeks to go - ewwww (that does sound exciting!!) im going to soak up every second of the next two weeks because i know it will come and go as quickly as everything else does these days!! so im prepared! but the best thing is the marraige lasts forever!!

Food was great yesterday and my ww chicken risotto for tea was sensational. haven't thought about tea tonight yet, might do home made hamburgers..hmmm not sure.. see what the boss says!! and homemade chicken and salad roll for lunch today! Yummo.

Anyway I look forward to checking in monday with some good news and some great photos! have a good weekend all of you, stay safe, be good and remember how far you have come in what ever journey your on!

nasty bug nocked me over for a bit...

hi all, im back in the land of the living this morning. after a nasty nasty gastro bug struck at 3.30 on tuesday afternoon. i started to feel a bit squeamish in the arvo, but put it down to my period and feeling lousy. but a few minutes after i swallowed a couple of nurofen, it was running to the toilet and up they come again. i went home after this and spent another ten hours projectile vomiting my little heart out in bed. poor chappy was home sick as well, his was the other end. but it turns out the friends place we went for lunch on sunday (another couple had the same thing last week - and passed it on - to everyone else there!!) we were all bedridden and spewing or on the loo for 24 hours!!

I never thought id go into the negative with points too!! i only had a sandwhich and breaky on the tuesday but all of that and more from the night before came back to haunt me and then even less was eaten yesterday. trying to get myself back on track rather than counting but i just added up what ive planned is well under points anyway. salad roll/sandwhich for lunch today and then ww meal for tea so nothing too extravagant! don't think my body would like it very much. the first night i lost over 2 kilos just from the spewing. not a good idea for a detox though guys - don't try at home!

I guess the positive of it all is that it happened tuesday and not today - and run me over for the hens night on saturday!! its good to be back at work today to get back into routine, to get my sore back out of lying in the bed and to start getting excited about the weekend again!! sarah has done so much work on games and food and drinks - im so lucky to have such special friends!! she is also running some wedding erands in shep for me tomorrow too since i don't have any more time off bar the day or two before.

lollypop favours turned up today they look great!
anyway better get back to it, - loads on. desk is overflowing with files so I better get stuck into some more. morning has flown it will be friday arvo before i know it!!

TTOM TUESDAY

morning, good start to the week even though im feeling pretty crappy. got a good work out last night but then was wrecked, think i over did it a bit actually. good food and exercise though and all planned out for the rest of the week. I officially can't wait until the weekend, i hope the next few days go quick! 29 degrees for the races on saturday! look out! found a dress, size ten, strapless black cottony number, so im all set!! who knows what else ill be dressed in! will have to wait and see pictures!!! just a quick post today, under the pump at work, lots to get done before my 26 days off!!!!

27 Years - Mum and Dad

what a special day. today is my parents 27th wedding anniversary. to think that in three years time we will be celebrating our 3rd and them their 30th! that's a great effort!!

Im glad i got up and had a quick workout yesterday morning, because my mouth, tummy and points got a workout last night at tea. i was literally STUFFED. i had a piece and a half of the gormet pizza bread we shared for entree and then a MASSIVE bowl of seafood risotto. it was absolutely delicious but i thought i couldnt stand afterwards. and while it was a bit smaller than normal it was still huge.

I worked out i was about 4-5 over for the days points but it works out ive got a few days this week under so with that and not using any bonus points this week i think ill be able to rid that little slip up. speaking of yummy food though, im heading out to lunch today with some friends to that lovely pasta place. thats my big points for the day, ive got a ww meal booked in for tea as well as an hour walk with sarah after work then housework, a couple of intervals on the crosstrainer and my weights/workout. so at least im counterbalancing these bigger meals.

last night went really well at the reception venue, made it all feel a bit more real, and a little less sureal. worked out our tables as well which was exciting. its funny how much we'd love to be on any table - funny that - being our wedding and our friends and all!!

Anyway better get back to it, I hope you have a good thursday. happy anniv mum and dad and also happy ninety something birthday (i know its close to 100) (sorry thats bad) to my great grandma who also celebrates today! might call down sunday for a visit.

snuck a peak and liked what i seen

wednesday again and another good week. going to plan and plenty of exercise. 18211 steps for tuesday, didn't even realise id clocked up so many after my hour walk with sarah, its amazing what gassbagging can take your mind off!!

guess what!! i got up this morning!! not just got up, got up earlier and worked my butt off on the crosstrainer. I was like a little kid, I said i would and then chappy goes, oh whatever and laughed!! and then i thought. right. and did it! so 20 minutes flat chat then shower and breaky, i was feeling great, could very get used to that kind of start to the day. just have to break the habbit and get used to getting up a bit earlier, but whats half an hour, and im getting to sleep a bit earlier so im hoping the next few lighter mornings before daylights savings will help me out there.

I also snuck a peak at the scales this morning and the reason i say peak is because i didnt even wait long enough for it to set properly, but it was jumping between 73.4-73.6 and then i got off, ill work hard and earn the good loss on monday. i was just under 75 on monday just gone, after the weekend i had and th eone before, im lucky it wasnt over to be honest. but after feeling a bit skinnier when i woke up this morning i thought id look see, and it makes sense after the last couple of days ive had. just need to maintain that through the weekend now! bring it on!!

25 SLEEPS!!!

okay time to get excited. 25 sleeps to go. I haven't counted once until today. my cousin finished burning our wedding songs onto a cd so I had a listen before and it got me a bit keen. I think ill be a blubbering mess though!! with the songs and our personal vows, i think everyone will be!!

last night turned out better than it looked. got home absolutely nackered, chappy wasnt home so i pyked on the walk. got tea organised, chicken mingnon and vegies, then was ready for bed at about 7!! I didnt have my steps up and felt really blah. so i thought ill do a bit on the crosstrainer and hopefully feel a bit better then can fall in bed and sleep! did 3 sets of 20 minutes on there and my weights and exercises as well. did 25 kms on it all up and felt great. got up the steps and slept like a baby again! didnt realise how much cheese was in the chicken things i got, so i cut half mine off which was good of me - bloody yummy!!

Only 11 sleeps till the hens party/ now that is unbelievable. the whole thing has just always been coming, not almost here!! Im getting so excited if you can tell. so excited about the whole marraige more than anything, the wedding is just a celebration of how much we have to look forward to, well thats how i look at it anyway! an expensive celebration all the same!!

Tomorrow night we are heading over to the reception venue to finalise a few things, then we might catch some la porchetta and a movie, bit of a date!! nice. la porch will be my pasta serving for the week, got lots of vegies in there otherwise. couple of lunches out too, thursday, saturday and sunday so smart choices will be in order, ill have pre menstural bloat for next mondays weigh in but im still working for a decent loss after my last few maintenance weeks. ive done well to do that though after the drinks ive consumed and the crap ive eaten!!

Under 4 weeks!!

Okay its go time!! under four weeks! time to get serious. the exercise has been good, now its going to be great, the weekday eating has been great now its going to be perfect. and the weekend food splurges - have to go!! This weekend was a perfect example of what not to do after a big night out. Im lucky that my hard work during the week paid off and I didnt gain but I didn't lose either and while under 75 was my ww goal, my wedding goal was 72 and im not ready to give up!!

Ill give you a quick run down of what I ate - just yesterday as an example. and for those of you wanting to lose weight - DO NOT do the following.

Breaky was bacon and egg sandwhich - cooked the fat way
Lunch was well where do i start - i cant really define where it started and finished, i did have subway which was fine, but i also had party pies heaped in sause, wingdings and oh did i mention 3 pieces (small but 3 small is one fairly big!!) of chocolate birthday mud cake.. so left mums around 8 feeling really full and sluggish, but hey i havent even started yet, then we ordered pizza AND pasta and splurged on that. so three pieces of greasy pasta and a big bowl of bolognaise topped with WAY too much parmasen cheese. you could probably say I was done....

So can I reinforce - this is not what you do if you want to lose weight - let alone just be healthy and feel good about yourself.

So ive written it off, not going to happen again, i can actually happily report that a binge like that hasnt happened too often lately so im going to learn how silly i was and move on. Ive got heaps of exercise planned for the week and lots of yummy, healthy and variety in my meals. ive got some eating outs so ive got some plans prepared and im confident that ill weigh in next week with a whopping loss.

No alcohol this weekend, nothing until the hens night now which is saturday week. im looking forward to feeling great for two weeks now, and ive got a plan for the sunday in tact after the hens night as well, so no excuses.

On a positive note, i was very spoilt with compliments at my sisters 21st (which was a fantastic night by the way) so many family and friends commented on how great i looked which was very nice, and always good to hear, we sometimes focus so much on the little way we have to go and often lose sight of the massive way we've come!!

Thank god its FRIDAY!!

Another quick week has come and gone again! bring on the weekend!! we've got that much on though it will be back to monday before we know it again! tonight presentation night which im driving too and planning on getting away from as soon as we can! bed!! tomorrow we've got a lovely day at home planned, big walk, gardenning and bbq lunch with just the two of us at home. just some chicken and vegie kebabs we have in the freezer and some yummy salad. then we will get organised and head around to mum and dads before ashleas 21st. will be a good night, not having a huge one, and getting some practise in with a wine here a water there drinking... hoping for a 12 - 1 night as well, getting old i think!!

last night lacked exercise - or time rather. got home tried some tops on that id taken home to try for the weekend, didnt have much luck, found one that ill probably get though, then went to the hairdressers, was there for over 2 hours. got my colour and trim and worked out what we're doing for the wedding as well. then i got home, hoed down some ww spaghetti and meatballs and then went nextdoor to the neighbours.. talk - chappy and the fella next door.... we didnt get home till after 11. i walked straight in the door and straight to bed. fell asleep straight away so i still got 8.5 hours which was good. but no time for crosstrainer or walk so im keen for a walk after work tonight then 20 minutes on the crosstrainer as well. we dont have to be at undera till 8 so i should have time, might get chappy to cook the stirfry to make sure!! looking forward to some yummy vegies before we go!

Cross trainer finally arrived!!

Just ducked home to let the rental guy in, cross trainer is finally there. its a very new one too, i look forward to getting on and giving it a burl tonight before my hair appointment,

Another good day yesterday, excpet for eating for two at dinner, both chappy and I went back for seconds with the yummy risotto i made, but both shouldnt have. we were full as it was, its addictive that stuff! so my tummy bloated like no other and the rest after tea was definately necessary. had a great walk with kel after work, fast too. then got on the treadmill after my stomach deflated a little and did another 20 minutes. got to my 15000 again which is over 10kms a day so i think im doing alright!!

Im so excited (how silly) that im finally making the transition from white to multigrain, my body will love me for it. bought the sunblest 9 grain plus wholemeal bread, so plenty of goodness!!

Hump day

hi there, quite the little poster this week, aren't i!! I like keeping myself accountable to myself and blogging definitely helps. i hope your weeks are going well so far. i had another good night last night, steak and veg for tea, 1 hour walk after work then another 30 mins on the treadmill after tea, with 20 mins of weights and work outs after that, so went to bed and slept well again. works been busy so the days are going quick, but i don't mind when im doing all the right things and putting another tick in the box as each day passes.

ive allowed for no more than my 12 points for alcohol saturday night and im having a ww meal before i go so that i don't nibble or eat crap at the party. sundays planned out with homemade eggs breaky for recovery, then subway for lunch and pitta pizza for tea. so i think ive got the weekend taken care of!! im looking forward to a good loss too, bout time i pulled my finger out!!

Tuesday almost over

Where do the days go!! Tuesday is almost over again and mid week hits tomorrow. gorgeous weather here today its a shame we're not outside enjoying it. makes me more excited about our upcoming honeymoon though, fingers crossed for nice weather!! we looked into extending our honeymoon this arvo, so just waiting back on some quotes and prices. we were originally staying for 7 nights but thought we might as well do 10 while we're there and make the most of the break, we have over 20 days off over the wedding so we'd be coming home and finding something to do anyway!! so thats exciting news for today.

I also booked in for hair and makeup trials this arvo, and booked in for a cut and colour this thursday, so ill be feeling nice and refreshed for my sisters 21st on saturday night. starting to really look forward to it. now that ive got a plan in place im confident i can have a good night, eat properly on the sunday and still have a good result on the scales on monday. choices - its all about choices, that and moderation!!

We have a weekend in the garden planned for saturday as well. Chappy wants to get some sleepers and make a start on the front yard, so maybe some visits to the nursery and getting our hands dirty looks likely. we are also going to go for a big walk along the channel in the morning to get that out of the way, so im feeling really good about the week ahead.

Last night we got home and went for our usual walk, zara missed walking last week while mum and dad were still recovering - she loved it last night! when we got home i cooked tea, it was a bit oilier than normal and i had way too much... hmmm, i guess the ingredients werent too bad, (pesto chicken and sundried spaghettini) but it was still too big.. so back to controlling those portion sizes for me.. then i felt full, blah and absolutely nackered so i sat down and rested on the couch, watched my shows, then noticing that my steps were only up to 12000 odd i jumped on the treadmill and watched the end of idol with my music on. felt so much better, got over 15000 in the end then did my weights/work out and a bit of stretching, shower and bed, i sleep so well when im nackered like that and wake up feeling so much better!

Woke up at 4am this morning though - wedding thoughts, taking the notepad and pen to bed tonight so i can write down what ever crazy thoughts enter my head and go back to sleep! it was horrible!! and its getting so light in the mornings! I should be making the most of them and getting up and walking, i had every intention this morning but i finally dosed off again at 6.30 so it was 7.30 by the time i got up.

OCTOBER CHALLENGE STARTS TODAY

Hi guys, I hope your weekends went well and you were more behaved than me!!

So much for driving!! Saturday day and night was huge, on a par with the one before to be honest!! Yes I had a ball, but yes im ready to slow down for a bit too. and the fact that I have to! my body and bank account wont have it any other way! the weekend started off terrible, friday i had a massive pasta serve for lunch, the garlic did wonders for my cold - which was why i woke up saturday right to go (drink that is) friday night ate nibblies after work, fried stuff at the pub. smack. then went home and made and ate so many soft tacos it was absurd. i think i almost popped. they are a bit of a over eating nemisis for me ive realised. they need to go on elmos 'sometimes foods' list I think!!

Saturday was worse. chicken and champagne breakfast, then nibbles all day, roast rolls for lunch which werent too bad, but then more nibblies all afternoon, i think im close to transforming into a salami sundried tomatoe and cheese nibble dipped in tatziki dip - im sure I didnt stop eating it!! then saturday night we had more nibbles at the hens night, rolls for tea from what i can remember and more and more alcohol, polished off a bottle of vodka during the day then more udls and sugary cocktails at the hens night, went out after that, got home at 3.30 or some ridiculous hour. ended up out on my own which was dangerous and silly, but to my own fault, the guys werent out at all and the girls were at the same pub all night but i got bored and walked up the road to the night club we were at last week.. Jenna.. come on.

Sunday we got dropped home around 9, tried to get back to sleep but couldnt then had a toastie for breaky, roll for lunch, so doing okay for hangover food. then.. maccas for tea, not just maccas for one though, try for two or three. big chips, big mac, big fanta and cheeseburger, the stylings of the old Jenna not the new one... so felt pretty shit again last night but didnt let it turn into anything worse than it was - a slip up. (the whole weekend was a big slip up again) but do you know what i had a blast, i learnt a few things and thats all that matters.

So october starts today and so does the new me. back to tracking, back to sticking to my plans, and plenty of exercise and nutritious and healthy foods. detox starts today! our step challenge at work starts today too which even got me up to walk to work this morning so the incentive is already kicking in. I weighed in this morning too, a bit cautious after eating the maccas shop last night... i was actually 300grams less than my weigh in last week which was interesting... making the most of it though, still under goal 74.5, and only 2.5 off my wedding goal of 72. I can ace this. and do you know what - im planning on acing it!

I have organised walking buddies, perfect for my october challenge and my works walking challenge! mon and wed chappy, tuesdays sarah and thursdays kelly, so definitely mixing it up, works well because chappy has cricket training tuesdays and thursdays so im still doing something and not staying home and raiding the fridge!! im also getting the crosstrainer delivered on wednesday so looking forward to mixing it up a bit. no over points in october is my new little challenge, and that includes alcohol as well, if its not earned, dont drink it. the only exception for the month will be the hens party in a couple of weeks but hey we only have one of them!! ill make it up the rest of the days anyway.

Im keen for a kilo loss this week after an awesome week set out, and with controlled drinks at my sisters 21st on saturday night. we have some gardening planned for sunday and ive definitely got enough incentives to do it this time!! wedding in a month! it doesnt get much more exciting than that, and do you know what, the thing is i don't want to do any of this for the extra weight loss, i want to do it because i want to get those feel good endorphins back and have the energy and adrenaline that ive had when i am eating properly and exercising in the past! Anyway soooo much rambling today, talk about thinking out loud! have a great day, great start to the week and a smashing start to october!! xx
