Still improving, mind and body
Hi guys, back again, and a bit more regular with the posting as well - keeps me honest though! Im feeling much better again today even after a restless night sleep as well! got a couple of hours in last night and tonight ill do a couple of prac exams so im right for wednesday. Just need a pass so ill be working hard tonight and tomorrow morning to make sure of it! exam is at 2.
last night chappy and I went for our usual walk, it made me feel great too! then got home and had a yummy yummy pumpkin bacon onion and sundried tomatoe risotto. it was delicious and extremely satisfying. did the housework after tea - I always seem good at that when there is homework to do!!! Then felt I still had a fair bit of energy which was strange after last week so i did my weights routine and situps/lunges etc workout. that was another 20 minutes so a good start to the week.
Tonight im going to maybe do a 20-30 minute walk on the treadmill, 40 minute cardiolattes dvd which is low impact and then 2-3 hours of study. stirfry for tea tonight, nice and easy and good for a change. it will be wednesday and the exam before I know it!!
Speaking of before I know it. this wedding is coming around way too quick, as excited as I am i cant believe how quick, after this week and with the exam out of the way have to get stuck into organising the last few things, cars, table decorations, baloons, etc etc. Friday night im going to shep to look for my wedding shoes, the bridesmaids shoes and jewellery and then some shopping for myself, I realised with the warmer weather on sunday that I have no summer pants/skirts that fit anymore, and some new tops would be good too! so ive got permission to stock up!! look out!
Another busy day today.
Heres the plan;
b - cereal with one piece of toast / vegiemite 4
l - ummm. either a toastie 6 or tomatoe soup with 2 pieces of bread... 5
d- beef stirfry 7
s - fruit, saltanas, ww bar/jam muffin 2.5
total 18.5/19.5
Exercise - 40 minutes cardiolattes dvd 20/30 minute walk/warm up. -6.
I also re-evaluated my plans last night, and had a chat to chappy about it too. My new personal goal is going to be 70. it was 72 but being only 1.8 away from that at the moment, I think that 70 will be perfect, tone and 70 is my goal for life, i wont say the wedding because its not just for the wedding this things for life, i think 70 will be easy to maintain either - touch wood. hard work but a good round about figure if that makes sense. So ill focus on 72 and then work down to 70, small goals are easier to achieve ive found. but its good to have something to work towards again!
Have a good day everyone and ill check in thursday (exam tomorrow)
take care, talk soon xx

Back in the land of the living.... slowly
Hi guys, monday again. that week went quick, and very slow as well!! Ive been in bed since last monday arvo with a nasty viral infection. head was on fire, bones aching, cold sweats, headaches, sore throat and my glands are so inflamed still its hard to swallow.. And no energy, slept for most the week and still so tired. Dr thought it was glandular fever to start with. imagine that for the next few months. talk about timing.. but thinks it may just be a viral infection.. i shouldnt say just...
i am a lot better than last week but still feeling really lousy, tired and sore throat etc. but have to push through im afraid. i have a big exam on wednesday, going to email my lecturer today for special consideration because i know im not going to be able to study as well tonight, tomorrow night and wednesday morning. already behind after having last week off as well.... cant really defer it either because I have so much wedding stuff coming up ill lose track of all the unit content if that makes sense. so im talking myself better...! thats the plan and ill contact the lecturer today.
So not much else news. Oh I checked my weight this morning before jumping in the shower. I thought i would have gained, nil exercise, I havent even moved much at all in the last week and then yesterday i had a bigger lunch and tea than normal but i havent had much of an appetite at all so i lost which was nice. down to 73.8 I think thats the lowest ever, so cracked into that last few kilos to my goal. Im not worrying about exercise as much this week, only little bits if i have the energy, just concerntrating on getting better until my exam wednesday and then ill know thursday if im right to play finals on sunday! I didnt play saturday obviously but we just made the cut so finals this weekend!
Not drinking for the next month will get me there im sure as long as i be sensible with food choices at the same time and slowly get back into exercise when im fit and well. so thats the plan. will sit down and do a food plan today and keep myself positive and get through the day. have to do at least 2 hours tonight so ill get that out of the way then relax and get to bed early.
Thank you all for your lovely comments, its so flatering to know people read my rambles each week, love hearing how you all are as well. less than 10 weeks till our wedding now so really focussing on getting back to optimum health. the invites are all out - as are the hens night invites! look out! as long as the racing ban lifts so we can still go to bendigo races in october!
Anyway better get some work done, pay for the rest of our honeymoon this week too! nice to have it paid and out of the way! have a great week and ill check in soon xxox

Long time no post
Hi guys, sorry ive been missing in action for a bit. I got a bit why am I bothering, no one is reading and if they happen to be im sick of posting how miserable i am one day and how good im feeling the next. someone will end up diagnosing me with skitzophrenia on here! lol!! I am fine anyway! Busy but fine weight wise.
Massive weekend just gone, the last big one like that for a while. have to start getting serious about looking after myself over the next few months. wedding is a little over 2 months away now. i cant believe its been nearly 20 months since we got engaged now, and since starting ww. 30 something kilos ago as well. wow. anyway we fell into bed a little after 5am sunday morning. huge night in shep, we had over $500 free drinks at a pub open just to our footy club (the money was on the bar just for a grade - and there were only 6 of us there!) so boy did we drink a lot of expensive and sweet alcohol. I drank right up until five, no wonder i was so bloody sick yesterday morning.
Thursday night ended up being pizza, so did saturday night, then friday and sunday night was pasta, so im definitely carbed up thats for sure. Apparently we had a big hotdog at 4am saturday night as well.. cant remember that one!! neither did my body by the sounds because i weighed in 1.1 kilos less this morning! thats right a big loss, right before ttom tomorrow too!! the wierd thing is i got lots more compliments saturday night, and this is from people i see every week.. and then sunday morning when i finally pushed myself to have a shower and try and feel better i actually felt smaller as well. which is wierd after a night out like that and all that food! I think what saved me was the hours and hours of dancing.. incoherrant dancing im sure!! that and the fact that i didnt pig out yesterday. i still had too much pasta and icecream with topping for sweets but nothing like i normally do after a big night.
feel like im getting sick though today. was fine this morning and then have gotten worse and worse all day, soar throat, nose running and my bones are aching. head is pounding as well. got some echinasea in me at lunch time and nurofen for the aching bones and headache but nothing has changed so far. im hoping to last the next hour or so and talk myself out of it, but then its home to pjs, early tea and bed for me. we are so busy at work so i dont really want to take time off to lie in bed at home but ill do what i have to do to get better.
anyway enough rambling, havent missed too much over the last two weeks i dont think. we won netball saturday which puts us in the finals sunday week. tough one but anything can happen in finals!!
SO FIVE WEEKS ALCOHOL FREE - thats right, i decided im not drinking until our leagues grandfinal the second last weekend in september. it works in well because i think ill easily be able to get to 72 in that time, (74.5 today) and then im at my personal goal to maintain for the month before the wedding. and then - for life as well of course! and keen to get into the cardiolates again to tone up for the big day, the dvd i bought is great!
I hope you all have a great week, if im feeling better and can spare a few minutes ill post again later in the week. xx

Mind over Matter
I thought this was a good title for my next post, seeing as though my last few downfalls have been exactly this. Mind over Matter. Im not the fat disgusting pig that I tell myself I am each time I get down or have a really big slip up - im human.
I think we get on a roll and this thing gets a bit easy or we let our guard down and its like a big rush of - in my case food and alcohol, and then we wonder why we gain on the monday (or whatever weigh in day) I had a good read back through alot of my posts today and realised alot of things.
One of these things is simple, if you can recognise why you gained when you do then thats simple, those are the areas you need to address. Not once while ive been doing weight watchers at home have i ever ever had a gain where ive thought, hey why is that there, ive worked really really hard and done everything right this week. its usually - no wonder i gained, look at the weekend i had....
So I don't see what I have ahead of me (3.3 kilos until my personal goal of 72) as a problem. I see it as another challenge. and as have all the challenges we and I have set - it is more achievable than ever. I have the tools now, I have the know how, I just have to tighten the belt - quite literally and pull my head in a bit.
Sherrie and I set this back to basics challenge for reason, and that was exactly that - to get back to the basics... which with out sometimes we get a bit to complacent and loose track a little. I've been feeling really crappy this week but I cant justify it as being sick after all the crap i have put into my body since thursday last week - no wonder im feeling crap - seriously!! my body has learnt not to put up with that sort of thing so no wonder its gone a bit haywall!
And lack of exercise has also contributed. My walk monday night was the only thing ive done since a slow game of netball saturday and then before that thursday night training, its a vicious cycle we can fall into when we feel like this, but its only us that can change it by doing something.
This is SUCH a rambling post, but im just trying to get my head back in the right frame of mind, and its working!!
I also realised that I felt like id plataeud for a long time at 83kilos, oh my god that was nearly 10 kilos more than what i am now!! look what we can do when we set our minds to it!!
There is no giving up, there is only getting up and getting on with it.
The right foods are the only medicine that is going to make me feel better and get over this slump that and a splash of exercise here and there! I know ill be back on track and full steam ahead by the weekend. and that will be my big test with no drinking and lots to do ive got everything planned so there is no excuse not to succeed and be back under, well under 75 on monday (current weight 75.3 tues (mon was 76.3) and no more interim weigh ins either...
My back to basics outline is
40 minute of exercise minimum 5 days a week
2-3 litres of water daily (and keep up over the weekend)
stick to my points daily
plan and track diligently
keep out negative thoughts, they are only damaging.
recognise how far ive come already
and only have sweets if your daily points allows it (don't use bonus points)
and alcohol is only allowed at the end of the week if you have the exercise/bonus points already earned to cover them, and then still its only 14 points allowed)
So thats me, I can't say im back to normal, but im accepting whats happened, planning ahead and keeping positive, ive come too far to sulk back to silly habbits now haven't I!!
WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE SET OUR MINDS TO! I HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL. X

Hump day and still on top!!
Dear diary, or whovers out there reading over. Hump day already this week and the weeks going well. I haven't had a week like this in months almost so thats a good sign for the new 6 week challenge that Sherrie and I have set for ourselves! guaranteed results if I keep this up. I realise im not up to the hard yards (the weekend) yet but if the way ive started out is any indication im very confident ill be at my personal goal - before the six weeks is up!
Speaking of weeks, its 12 weeks till our wedding this week!! Its all very exciting. It was great to see how excited chappy was after getting our rings last friday night! starting to feel very real!!
Food has been on track and im feeling a bit hungry at bits of each day so its getting back into that habbit and knowing that the body is burning what ive eaten that keeps me motivated at the moment! not starving though and keeping up the low point snacks so its all going well. started running again monday night and again last night. have planned a bit longer tonight after I get home from studying. Chappy is doing the usual steak and veg wednesday which should be nice, get my vegies up. last night and monday nights meals were sensational and points friendly, home made risotto last night and monday we had chicken pesto and sundried tomatoe with spaghetti (tried to copy the ww meal and it was fantastic!!)
Anyway flat out again this week so better get back to it, have a great week and ill talk to you all soon, hopefully before the end of the week xx
